If you are looking for a delightful foaming hand soap in your life, then you have come to the right place my friend.
First you will start off with a big ol’ bottle of Dr. Bronner’s Pure Castile Liquid Soap (made from a combination of coconut, olive, jojoba, hemp and essential oils) in any wonderful scent you prefer including: almond, citrus, eucalyptus, lavender, peppermint, rose, and tea tree, or unscented (mixing in your own essential oil blend if you so desire).
Step One: Get The Biggest Foaming Hand Soap Bottle Money Can Buy
To make your foaming hand soap, just buy the biggest foaming hand soap bottle you can get your hands on (because a bigger bottle means less refilling, and more free time for you, yay!). Remember to make sure it’s a *foaming* soap bottle, and not just a regular one, or you might be sorely disappointed with this recipe. I bought these 415 ml Nature Clean Foaming Soaps for my home, but any large foaming soap bottle will work wonderfully.
Step Two: 3/4 Water + 1/4 Castile Soap
After you have used up the store bought soap, reuse the bottle, and fill it 3/4 of the way up with filtered water. If you don’t have filtered water, just use regular tap water… foaming hand soap police will not show up. Then fill up the remaining 1/4 of space with your Dr. Bronner’s castile soap of choice (leaving a small air gap at the top for shaking). Starting with the water first works best. If you start filling the bottle with soap, and then add the water, you’ll literally have a bubbly mess on your hands.
Step Three: Shake & Enjoy!
Gently shake the bottle to mix. That’s it!
Now didn’t I tell you it was easy?
Why Foaming Hand Soap Is Awesome
1) Avoid exposure to tricolsan, parabens, sulfates, synthetic fragrance etc., but still get soft squeaky clean hands!
2) Keep one time use bottles out of the landfill (by using a store bought foaming hand soap you are also probably getting a higher quality pump mechanism as the company will have a reputation to protect- unlike off brand cost competitors. Plus when the mechanism inevitably fails, as all things must, you can comfort yourself in the knowledge that you definitely got your money’s worth).
3) Less soap waste as the perfect amount of foam is dispensed each time (especially true for kids!)
4) Only one refill bottle to keep track of and restock, making your home cleaning systems a little easier to manage.
5) Delightful to use. Kind of like washing your hands with a fluffy cloud that also smells really good.
I hope you will consider giving this easy hand soap a try, and that your family and guests will love it as much as we do!
